The Spring Equinox: A Quiet Turning Point Toward Light and Renewal

Tomorrow is the spring equinox, which basically means day and night are almost equal in length. It’s one of those natural turning points in the year that we don’t always notice, but it quietly signals that we’re moving out of winter and into spring.

Even if you’re not thinking about it, things around you are already starting to change. The days feel a little longer, the sun sticks around a bit more, and there’s a subtle shift in energy. It’s not just in nature—people tend to feel it too. After months of shorter days and colder weather, spring brings a sense of lightness and movement.

The equinox itself is just the moment when the Earth is positioned so that sunlight is evenly distributed between the northern and southern hemispheres. But beyond the science, it’s often seen as a reset point. A kind of natural “fresh start” without needing anything dramatic to happen.

It’s a good time to reflect on where you’re at without overcomplicating it. Winter tends to be slower and more inward-focused—more rest, less activity. Spring shifts things outward again. You might feel more motivated to get things done, spend more time outside, or reconnect with routines that fell off during the colder months.

A lot of people use this time to clean up their space, revisit goals, or just get back into healthier habits. Nothing big or overwhelming—just small, manageable steps that match the energy of the season. It doesn’t have to be a full life overhaul. Sometimes it’s as simple as opening the windows, taking a walk, or starting something you’ve been putting off.

There’s also something grounding about the balance the equinox represents. Equal day and night is a reminder that things don’t stay the same forever. Busy seasons are followed by slower ones, and slow seasons eventually shift back into growth. It’s all part of a cycle.

Spring doesn’t arrive all at once—it builds gradually. And the equinox is just the quiet marker that we’ve reached that turning point.

So even if it feels like just another day, it’s also a small reminder: things are starting to move again, and you can move with them at your own pace.

The Heart Behind Our Circles

In the rush of daily life, it’s easy to lose sight of ourselves. Between work, family, and countless responsibilities, women often find their own needs and dreams slipping to the bottom of the list. We realized there was a genuine need for a safe, intentional space where women could pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves — a space where they could feel seen, supported, and celebrated just as they are.

That realization became the seed for our Women’s Circles. We wanted to create a place where women could come together in community, not just to socialize, but to heal, reflect, and nurture their minds, bodies, and hearts. The circles are designed to foster self-love, empowerment, and transformation, offering tools and practices that women can carry into their everyday lives. Through guided journaling, meditation, sound healing, and meaningful conversation, participants can slow down, center themselves, and tap into the wisdom and strength that often lies dormant under the pressures of daily life.

Our vision for the circles has always been rooted in connection — connection with ourselves, with others, and with the rhythms of life. We’ve seen firsthand how sharing space with other women can be profoundly restorative. In these circles, stories are shared, laughter flows freely, tears are welcomed, and growth happens naturally. Every circle becomes a micro-community of support, a place where women can release what no longer serves them and step more fully into their own power, clarity, and joy.

We also knew it was important to create a circle that is inclusive and welcoming. Every woman is invited — regardless of age, background, or experience — to come as she is, without judgment or expectation. The intention is to cultivate an environment where authenticity is celebrated, vulnerability is honored, and every voice is valued.

The magic of the Women’s Circle is not just in the practices we do, but in the collective energy of women gathered with intention. There is something powerful that happens when hearts open together: empathy deepens, courage grows, and inspiration blooms. Women leave the circle feeling lighter, more grounded, and more connected — to themselves, to the group, and to the possibility of living fully and intentionally.

We started these circles because we believe in the transformative power of community. When women come together to nurture themselves and one another, remarkable things happen. It’s more than an event; it’s a journey of reflection, healing, empowerment, and growth — a dedicated space for women to pause, breathe, and bloom.

If you’ve ever felt the need to step away from the noise of life, to honor yourself, and to reconnect with your own energy and potential, our Women’s Circles are here for you. We invite you to come, experience the magic, and join a community of women committed to growth, self-love, and wholehearted living.

Strength in Being Kind

In a world that often feels busy and disconnected, one of the most powerful
things we can do is also the simplest — be kind.

I have to write about that has been weighing heavy on my heart recently. In a world that often feels busy and disconnected, one of the most powerful things we can do is also the simplest —

      be kind

. Whether it’s holding the door open, offering a genuine compliment, or simply smiling at a stranger, these small acts of kindness ripple out in ways we may never see.

Kindness isn’t just about being nice for the sake of others — it also nourishes

      our own

mental and emotional well-being. Studies show that when we practice kindness, our brains release feel-good chemicals like serotonin and oxytocin, helping us feel calmer, more connected, and less stressed. It’s a gentle reminder that compassion doesn’t only heal others — it heals us too.

When life feels heavy or stressful, kindness can become an anchor. Choosing patience with a loved one, offering understanding instead of judgment, or forgiving someone (including yourself) are all forms of emotional generosity that cultivate peace.

At Revive Therapy and Wellness, we believe kindness starts with

      you

. Speak to yourself the way you would to someone you love. Celebrate small wins, offer yourself grace when things don’t go as planned, and remember that being kind isn’t about perfection — it’s about presence.

This week, try one small act of kindness each day. Compliment someone, check in on a friend, or simply smile at someone who looks like they need it. You never know how deeply your kindness might reach — or how much lighter your own heart might feel in return.

Letting Go: The Healing Power of Release

The days have grown shorter and nature now reminds us that release is a
vital part of life.

The days have grown shorter and nature now reminds us that release is a vital part of life. Just as trees shed their leaves in the fall to make way for new growth, we too can benefit from letting go of what no longer serves us—whether that’s old habits, limiting beliefs, or emotional burdens.

      Why Letting Go Matters

Holding onto what weighs us down can affect our mental, emotional, and even physical well-being. When we release, we:

          Create space for growth

         – letting go opens room for new opportunities, perspectives, and joys.

         – releasing old grudges, worries, or fears eases the burden on our minds and bodies.

          Reconnect with ourselves

         – letting go allows us to focus on what truly matters, rather than what holds us back.

          Journaling as a ritual -

          Mindful breathing -

Slow your breath and soften your body. With each inhale, invite ease. With each exhale, imagine tension, fear, or heaviness leaving you. You don’t have to force it—just allow space for release. Or look for your favorite guided meditation.

Let your body do the letting go. Gentle yoga, walking, stretching, dance or intuitive movement can help release energy stored in muscles, joints, and emotions. Move how your body asks to move.

          Reiki -

Seeing a Reiki practitioner can help support emotional and energetic release, helping you let go without struggle and return to balance with gentleness and grace.

      Reflection Prompt

    Ask yourself:

“What am I ready to release in this season of my life?”

Write it down, practice letting it go, and notice how your body and mind feel lighter. Letting go isn’t a one-time event—it’s a consistent practice. By giving yourself permission to release, you invite more clarity, peace, and presence into your life.

In DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), we learn that our thoughts, feelings, and actions are deeply connected. One practice that can have a profound impact on emotional well-being is a

practice. It’s a gentle way to cultivate compassion for ourselves and others, even in difficult moments. Loving-kindness is used to support emotion regulation, reduce reactivity, and soften patterns of self-judgment.

Loving-kindness practice starts with the self. Many of us are quick to judge ourselves or focus on what we “should” be doing. In DBT, we recognize that self-compassion is a skill — something we can practice, not just an abstract idea. By nurturing kindness toward ourselves, we create a foundation that allows us to extend compassion outward to others. Here is a step-by-step guide:

          Begin by settling in

Find a quiet, comfortable space. Sit in a way that feels supportive to your body. If it feels safe, gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Take a few slow, steady breaths, allowing your body to arrive in this moment.

          Start wherever feels most accessible

Many practices begin with offering kindness to yourself. However, if directing kindness inward feels difficult or uncomfortable, you are welcome to begin with someone else. You might choose a loved one, a neutral person, or even all beings.
There is no wrong starting place. Do what feels right and supportive for you.

If you choose to start with yourself

Bring your attention to yourself. You are not trying to force a feeling, only offering an intention.
Silently or aloud, repeat these phrases at a pace that feels natural:

              May I be safe.

              May I be happy.

              May I be healthy.

As you repeat each phrase, imagine offering warmth, goodwill, or gentle care outward, like a quiet signal of kindness moving through and beyond you.

If self-critical thoughts, discomfort, or distraction arise, simply notice them without judgment and softly return to the phrases.

Extend kindness to someone you care about

Picture someone you feel warmth or affection toward.
Repeat the phrases, using their name:

              May Sam be safe.

              May Sam be happy.

              May Sam be healthy.

          Include a neutral person

Bring to mind someone you neither strongly like nor dislike, such as a coworker, neighbor, or someone you see in passing.
Offer the same phrases to them, practicing balanced, impartial kindness.

Include someone you are angry with

If it feels appropriate, gently bring to mind someone with whom you experience tension.
Offer the same phrases, remembering that extending kindness does

          not

excuse harm or remove boundaries. It simply acknowledges shared humanity.
If this step feels too activating, it is okay to skip it or choose someone less charged.

          Expand to all beings

Let your awareness widen to include strangers, your community, and eventually all living beings.
Repeat:

May all beings be safe, happy, healthy, and at peace.

          Reflect and close

Take a few breaths and notice what is present for you now. There is no “right” outcome.
Even a few minutes of this practice, done regularly, can gently soften self-criticism and support emotional resilience.

Loving-kindness is not about pretending everything is okay, forcing yourself to feel positive, or bypassing pain. It does not mean excusing harmful behavior, ignoring boundaries, or invalidating your own emotions. In DBT, loving-kindness is about changing how we

          relate

to our internal experience, not erasing it. The practice invites a stance of gentle awareness and compassion alongside difficult thoughts and feelings, allowing space for both care and clarity to exist at the same time.

This practice helps you respond rather than react, approach challenges with an open heart, and cultivate connection with yourself and others. As you start to navigate the new year consider choosing an intention that doesn’t ask you to hustle for your worth. Let kindness be the practice and let compassion be the direction. One small moment at a time, you can build a year that feels more grounded, connected, and true to you.

One year ago today, I bought my office building, a decision that has changed my life in ways I couldn’t have fully imagined at the time. Not just a structure, but a haven for healing. A huge risk, and also a leap toward the future.

At the time, it felt both thrilling and terrifying. There was excitement, yes, but also a steady hum of

What if I can’t do this? What if I fail?

Buying a building meant committing to something real and long-term. It meant trusting myself in a way I never had before.

Over this past year, the building has slowly become what I hoped it could be: a warm, grounded space where people arrive carrying their stories and leave feeling a little lighter. It has held therapy sessions full of tears and relief, quiet breakthroughs, deep breaths, laughter, and long pauses where nothing needed to be fixed. But the biggest changes didn’t happen within the walls. They happened within me, and within our clients.

This year asked me to stretch in ways that had nothing to do with square footage or paint colors. It asked me to learn how to hold responsibility without losing softness. To navigate financial stress while staying connected to my values and priorities. To trust that growth doesn’t have to be rushed to be meaningful.

There were many moments of doubt. Moments when I wondered if I had taken on too much. Moments when the weight of ownership felt heavy. And there were also moments of deep, quiet pride, when I realized I was doing the very thing I once only imagined.

I’ve learned that stability isn’t about never feeling afraid. It’s about continuing to show up while fear sits nearby. I’ve learned that healing spaces don’t need to be perfect. You all proved that to me. We started with just a couch and white walls. Healing spaces simply need to be intentional and welcoming.

This building has taught me about roots. About choosing to stay. About investing not just in property, but in purpose. It has reminded me that growth often looks ordinary from the outside, but profound from the inside.

As I reflect on this past year, I feel deeply grateful. Grateful for the clients who have trusted us with their healing. We know how much goes into choosing a therapist, and we do not take lightly that you’ve chosen us. Your trust and support mean more than we can put into words.

I’m also grateful for the risks that paid off, and for the lessons that didn’t come gently. For the version of myself who said yes even when certainty wasn’t guaranteed.

We have grown in ways I couldn’t have imagined. From one therapist, to two, and now welcoming Moon Woven LLC into our space, offering Reiki, sound healing, spiritual life coaching, and monthly women’s circles. I also fulfilled a long-held dream of being a vendor at the Wolf Hollow Witches Market.

Our space is nearly fully furnished, and we’ve begun additional remodeling projects, continuing to shape it with intention and care. We will continue to grow in 2026, and I can’t wait to see all that is waiting for us. One year in, AND we are just getting started. We remain grounded, and that feels like its own kind of magic.

Here’s to growth that unfolds in its own time.
Here’s to spaces that hold more than walls.

Here’s to one year rooted, and many more to come.

The Power of Gratitude: Finding Peace and Presence This Season

As the seasons shift and the air grows crisp, we’re invited to pause and
reflect on what truly sustains us.

Winter naturally turns our attention inward — reminding us to slow down, gather what we’ve grown, and give thanks for the people, lessons, and moments that have shaped our journey.

Gratitude is more than a passing feeling — it’s a powerful mindset that nurtures emotional balance and well-being. Studies show that practicing gratitude can lower stress, improve relationships, and boost overall happiness. When we take time to notice the good, we begin to rewire our minds to see more of it.

I challenge you to try starting each day this January by naming three things you’re thankful for — big or small. Write them down, share them with a loved one, or simply sit with them in silence. You may find that gratitude opens your heart in ways you didn’t expect, creating space for peace, connection, and renewed energy.

The Magic of Reflection

As the year winds down, it’s natural to pause and look back on the months
that have passed.

As the year winds down, it’s natural to pause and look back on the months that have passed. Reflection isn’t just about reviewing achievements or challenges—it’s about reconnecting with yourself, honoring your growth, and setting intentions for the next chapter.

      Why Reflection Matters

Taking time to reflect allows you to:

          Recognize growth:

Celebrate the progress you’ve made, no matter how small.

Release what no longer serves you:

Let go of regrets, mistakes, or negativity to step forward lighter.

          Clarify intentions:

Understand what matters most, so you can set gentle, heart-centered goals.

      Ways to Reflect

          Journaling:

Write about your year—moments of joy, lessons learned, and areas for growth.

          Meditation:

Spend quiet time noticing thoughts and feelings, letting them arise without judgment.

          Gratitude Practice:

List people, experiences, or moments that brought meaning or happiness.

          Visioning:

Imagine the upcoming year. What do you want to invite into your life?

      Reflection Prompts

    Ask yourself:

“What am I proud of this year? What do I want to release before the new year? What intentions will guide me forward?”

Reflection is a magical way to close one chapter and step into the next with clarity, purpose, and self-compassion. Even a few minutes each day can make a meaningful difference.

Life can feel overwhelming—especially as the holidays wrap up, schedules tighten, and the world seems to move faster than ever. But even amid chaos, it’s possible to create pockets of calm that nurture your mind, body, and spirit.

      Why Calm Matters

When stress accumulates, it affects not only our mood but also our physical health, focus, and relationships. By cultivating calm, we:

      Simple Practices to Find Calm

Here are practical ways to create calm in everyday life:

          Mindful Breathing:

Take a few deep breaths, inhaling for 4 counts and exhaling for 6. Even a minute can reset your nervous system.

          Grounding Exercises:

Notice your five senses—say to yourself 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you feel, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste—to bring your mind back to the present.

          Gentle Movement:

Stretch, walk, or do yoga. Physical movement helps release tension stored in the body.

          Digital Detox:

Take intentional breaks from screens, notifications, and news to quiet mental clutter. Set a timer if you need to or use you phones or devices modes and routines to set up automatic timer.

          Create a Calm Space:

Light a candle, play soft music, or arrange a cozy corner where you can pause and breathe.

Take a moment today to ask:

“What would bring me peace right now?”

Even small actions—sipping tea mindfully, journaling, or listening to calming sounds—can help you reclaim calm in a busy world.

Remember, calm isn’t about escaping life’s challenges—it’s about creating balance and resilience so you can navigate them with clarity and ease.

What does calm look and feel like for me? When I imagine a moment of complete peace, what am I doing, where am I, and what parts of myself feel most supported? What small, realistic changes can I make this week to invite more of that feeling into my daily life—even when the world around me feels overwhelming?
